About the Course:
The NRA CCW Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense. It is open to all adults regardless of past shooting experience, combining classroom instruction with live-fire range training. NRA Basic Pistol is highly recommended before taking this course, as we can move faster and get to the concealed carry topic quicker and to the range knowing what to expect.
About the Instructor:
Tim Ernst is a NRA-certified instructor in rifle, CCW and pistol with 20+ years of firearms experience. He founded RavenWood Training in 2016. Tim has taught youth in Rifle at the Falls Township Rifle and Pistol Association, he’s an Endowment Member of NRA, and a FTRPA member for over 15 years (trap, sporting clays, rifle, pistol, plinking). He has over 30 years of experience with hunting (bear, deer, waterfowl) and firearms. Tim is a NRA-Certified Instructor in the Rifle, CCW and Pistol disciplines. He’s also a range safety officer and has always enjoyed firearms, learning about firearms and history, as well as learning from his students as much as he instructs them.
